Jose Mourinho hints Manchester United are closing in on Paul Pogba

Manchester, Aug 4: Manchester United manager has clearly hinted that the club is closing in on signing French midfielder Paul Pogba.

The Red Devils took on Everton last evening at Old Trafford in club captain Wayne Rooney's testimonial match. It was to commemorate Rooney's 12 years at Manchester United.

Jose Mourinho keeps an eye on Manchester United players during pre-season

The game ended in a 0-0 draw. Zlatan Ibrahimovic made his debut appearance as a Manchester United player at Old Trafford.

After the goalless draw against the Toffees at Old Trafford, manager Jose Mourinho addressed the press where he confirmed that he would make one more signing.

Excerpts from Mourinho's: "We are going to sign one more player, that's for sure.

"I don't want to speak about Paul Pogba because he is a Juventus player and I don't like other managers speaking about my players. I don't speak about their players.

"But the reality is we are going to sign one more player. The market closes on August 31, so we have plenty of time to do that, but obviously I would like to do it before the Premier League season starts."

Manchester United are in pursuit of Paul Pogba for a long time. Couple of weeks back media reports had suggested that the English giants are on the verge of completing a world record transfer for the French midfielder.

The price of is expected to reach 110 million euros and his agent Mino Raiola would earn close 20 million euros.

He was supposed to have a medical with the club in the ongoing week. Now Mourinho's comments have given a clear indication that Pogba to United deal is happening.
