Jim Ross feels Ronda Rousey will be great addition to WWE

One of the all-time greats Jim Ross has backed Rond Rousey to succeed in WWE.

Bengaluru, Feb 24: There's been quite a stir around the WWE Universe regarding Ronda Rousey signing up for WWE.

Top 5 rumours this week

Ever since she has suffered a devastating loss at UFC 207 against Amanda Nunes, her UFC career is said to be finished. So, as per an alternative choice, she might pursue a WWE career since her dream was to be a champion one day in the WWE.

WWE is supposedly planning her to the picture, as well and this is why they are perhaps preparing Charlotte with an undefeated PPV streak.

This is to ensure that the Queen of the WWE might set up a big match against Ronda Rousey for the Women's championship at Wrestlemania.

Now, there are some controversies with the former UFC bantamweight champion coming into the WWE.

While some think that she will be a big draw for the company, the others suggest that her glorious days are well past her and Ronda's inclusion to the female roster might turn out to be a disastrous one. Jonathon Coachman previously said this is why WWE might not look to sign her for future.

Going to the total contrast to the Coach, former WWE commentator, and one of the all-time greats, Jim Ross said that Ronda will succeed in WWE if given a chance.

He appeared in an interview with "Yahoo Sports" where he was asked whether her loss at UFC would be a bar in pursuing a successful career in the WWE. Ross came up with a positive answer stating:

"Ronda is a star of a major magnitude with immediate name identity. Her image, her marketing image, that has been perpetuated with a lot of wins, obviously, is a global recognition."

It's evident that if someone like JR thinks she'd be a good choice for WWE, he's got some reasons. Ever since Ronda's childhood, she's been a great fan of professional wrestling. Her nickname 'Rowdy' came because she was a fan of the legend, Rowdy Piper. She also wished to be a WWE Divas champion after calling it a day in UFC.
