The players who have been added to Mumbai City's roaster are Aizawl FC captain David Lalrinmuana, Mohun Bagan midfielder Pronay Halder, who had played for Delhi Dynamos in the last edition, Sena Ralte who was at Chennaiyin FC last time and Delhi Dynamos defender and veteran India international Anwar Ali.
23-year-old Lalrinmuana had a fantastic season with Aizawl FC even though they were relegated from the I-League. But they reached the finals of Federation Cup which was a huge feat for the side. David Lalrinmuana is a talented young midfielder who generally operates at the heart of the midfield.
Pronay Halder is another great signing who solid defensive midfielder among the Indian lot. He is being serving Mohun Bagan for the past two seasons and has done a great job. He is also a regualr at the Indian national team.
Sena Ralte came into limelight playing for Royal Wahingdoh. The team from Meghalaya showcased a brilliant performance in the 2014/15 season, most prominent names being Sena Ralte and Jackichand Singh. Ralte is an utility player who can be used as left winger as well as a left wing-back.
Finally veteran Anwar Ali has switched sides from Delhi to Mumbai City FC. Ali has been serving the Delhi based franchise from the last two seasons and has done a fairly decent job. Once a regular in the Indian national side, Anwar Ali has reached the twilight of his career. Nonetheless, Ali's inclusion will be a huge boost for the Mumbai side.
Commenting on the selections, Indranil Das Blah, CEO, Mumbai City FC said, "We are extremely happy to welcome Anwar Ali, Sena Ralte, David Lalrinmuana and Pronay Halder to the squad.
