I don't believe I'm arrogant: Man U striker Ibrahimovic

By Ians English

London, Aug 13: Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic said he does not consider himself to be arrogant but was instead confident in himself.

Speaking to British broadcaster Sky Sports on Friday, the former Sweden captain said that people had somehow formed an impression of him that he was a bad boy, reports Efe.

I don't believe I'm arrogant: Man U striker Ibrahimovic

After playing four football seasons at French club Paris Saint-Germain, Ibrahimovic who joined United managed by Jose Mourinho, is due to debut for the English club on Sunday in a match against Bournemouth.

He has been repeatedly criticised for his arrogance after making some controversial statements like "a World Cup without me is not worth watching", and "I don't need the Ballon d'Or to know I'm the best".

But the 34-year-old thinks his great confidence in himself should be seen as a virtue and not as something negative.

"I'm a normal person, People have the image of me that I'm a bad boy; I'm this and I'm that" Ibrahimovic said.

"I don't believe I'm arrogant in the way that people think," the former Ajax, Juventus, Inter Milan, Barcelona and AC Milan player added.

"I'm confident. I believe in myself. That's not being arrogant. That's something I believe is an individual strength in the human being."
