Hockey: India beat South Korea 4-1 in Sultan Azlan Shah Cup, win bronze

Malaysia, April 12: India beat South Korea 4-1 in Sultan Azlan Shah Cup and ended their outing on a positive note as they won bronze medal in third-fourth place playoff match here today.

The match went into the penalty shootout after both teams played out a 2-2 draw after full time.

Nikkin Thimmaiah, who scored a hat-trick against Australia, continued his good run as he scored in the 10th minute to give India 1-0 lead.

India took the lead in the 19th minute when Korea's Hyosik You converted a penalty corner to make it 1-1.

In the 22nd minute, Satbir Singh gave India the lead but Korea made a comeback again after converting another penalty corner to make it 2-2.

On Saturday (April 11, 2015), ​India shocked world champions and title holders Australia 4-2. India finished their league engagements with seven points from five games.
