UCL game week 2: Day 1 - Roundup, Dortmund hold Real Madrid for 2-2 draw

Dortmund, Sep 28: Borussia Dortmund hold defending champions Real Madrid for an exciting 2-2 draw in the game week 2 of the UEFA Champions League 2016/17.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored the opening goal to give Real Madrid the lead which cancelled out by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Raphael Varane restored the lead in the 68th. When it was looking like Real would run away with an important win, Andre Schurrle netted the equaliser late to ensure a point for the home side.

Dortmund came into the match on the back of four back to back to wins and were high on confidence. Real on other hand managed their consecutive 2-2 draw in two weeks.

With last night's draw, Dortmund remains at the top of the group table with a superior goal difference over Real Madrid.
