Twitterati celebrate as La Liga open new office at New Delhi

New Delhi, Sep 15: With a grand ceremony, La Liga has officially opened a new office at New Delhi, India on Thursday (September 15). [La Liga 2016-17: Schedule of Game week 4]

This is a huge step taken in the progress of Indian football and the association with the Spanish league will certainly put India a step forward in the world football map.

La Liga's office in India will definitely help to contribute to the progress of Indian football. La Liga president Javier Tebas was present at the ceremony along with former Spanish international striker Fernando Morientes and M. Cruz, Spanish ambassador in India.

Addressing the media, Tebas said: "We come to India to get closer to the fans. It's an important day for La Liga."

Former Spanish international Morientes said: "I welcome the opening of the La Liga office and say hello to all the fans in India."

Spanish ambassador said: "It's great news La Liga have an office here."
