Ryan Giggs raises concern over 'too many foreign coaches' in EPL

Giggs had previously served United as a caretaker manager in 2014 for a couple of months after David Moyes' sacking.

After that, he joined Louis van Gaal and served as his apprentice for 2 seasons at Old Trafford. When Mourinho joined the club he said that Giggs actually wanted the role of the manager.

Giggs later applied for Swansea City's managerial post after Francesco Guidolin was removed from his position.

Unfortunately, Swansea appointed USA's Bob Bradley at the helm of affairs ignoring Giggs. But Bradley did not last for more than 2.5 months and he was replaced by Paul Clement.

On facing rejection twice from Swansea, Giggs displayed his frustration speaking to BBC Wales.

He said: "I don't think there's enough [British managers] at the moment. It's good to see a British coach getting a chance.

"I think it is [important British coaches get a chance]. There's a lot of top quality foreign coaches in the Premier League, but there's also a lot of quality British coaches and managers out there."

He believes that British coaches will never come up to the top if they are not given opportunities to showcase their talent.

Giggs continued: "If you don't get the chance, you don't get the chance to prove what you can do and see what you can do with a talented team.

"As I say, there are quality foreign coaches as well. I just think on the balance, there's too many foreigners at the moment and British coaches probably just don't get the chances."

At the moment all the top teams in EPL are being managed by foreign coaches. Actually, all the top managers in the world are in the English league which made it more exciting an intense.
