Karim Benzema who is currently plying his trade with La Liga giants Real Madrid has been a target for the Gunners for the last 3 seasons.
According to rumours, the 29-year-old French forward is slowly losing the confidence in the Real Madrid team and among his fans for poor performance this season.
The striker has played 15 La Liga matches this season scoring just 5 goals. His lack of goals have raised serious doubts among the fans who are reportedly not happy and want the club to sell him.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is known to be a keen admirer of his compatriot and if rumours are to be believed then he might go a step forward next summer and place a bid for the out of favour Real star.
The Gunners still do not have a world class forward in their squad which has affected them heavily. Once again they stand in the third position in the league table, 12 points behind league leaders Chelsea.
Benzema's addition into the Arsenal team might just lend them that missing quality which could finally win them the EPL title.
