New recruit Romelu Lukaku again showed his amazing display with the ball in the match and managed to secure two goals in three friendlies since his switch to Everton.

The £75 million signing delivered a lot of promise with his scoring and build up abilities throughout the campaign and Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne who played an active part with him in the derby also insisted that he is sure that the Belgian forward will be a success at Old Trafford.

De Bruyne also insisted Some fans and pundits who hindered at his price tag will have to eat their words in future and will score enough goals to transform United into a title contender.

“I think he'll do very well," De Bruyne told reporters after the match. “Everyone knows what his qualities are and he will do what he has to do.

“There's a lot said about these big transfers, people mock him and other players on social media. You know it's there, but you just can't care about that. You just have to do your job and I think he'll score 20 to 25 goals for United a season and that will speak for itself.

“If you see his ratio of goals, it's incredible. He's one of the best in the world and what is he, 24? You can say that about him at that age.

“Obviously he has his way of playing‚ don't compare him to a Lionel Messi. He's a big, physical guy and can be awesome."

Manchester United's title chase in last season stammered because of not scoring enough critical goals as they finished sixth in the table. But now with a new striker with over 80 goals in his name with a lot of experience of Premier league football, manager Jose Mourinho will surely be hoping for a better outcome from this season.
