Luis Enrique blasts Barcelona fans after their win against Leganes

FC Barcelona struggled to beat 17th-placed Leganes 2-1 at Camp Nou to which the fans reacted strongly.

Barcelona, Feb 20: FC Barcelona manager Luis Enrique seemed unhappy with the behaviour of the fans after their hard fought win against relegation-threatened Leganes in La Liga.

Lionel Messi's third-minute strike had put Barcelona in the front but Unai Lopez equalised for the visitors. Messi converted a last-minute penalty to seal full three points.

The Catalan giants were already under a lot of pressure after their 0-4 drubbing at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain last week in the UEFA Champions League.

Leganes, who are struggling to remain in the top tier and are placed in the 17th position almost snatched away point from the giants at their own home.

Understadably the fans were not happy with yet another disappointing performance and whistled at the manager and the players.

To that, speaking to reporters, Enrique reacted strongly saying: "I accept that they whistle at me, that the fans are hurt because of Paris, but not that they whistle at the players," Enrique told reporters.

"I do not understand. As a fan, whistling a player from your own team does not make sense. Anyone can show their disagreement however they want. But in the case of Andre, it annoys me.

"I understand those who have jeered me. I am the coach and after a performance like the one in Paris I have to accept the criticisms."

Luis Enrique future with Barcelona is under serious doubts at the moment. Real Madrid have a comfortable lead at the top of the table and it is practically impossible for them to beat PSG by scoring more than 4 goals in the second leg.
