La Liga game week 12: Roundup and results

Bengaluru, Nov 20: La Liga game week 12 is underway and 9 out of 10 scheduled matches were played on Saturday, November 19.

The headlining match of the game week featured the two Madrid giants Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid. Diego Simeone's men locked horns with Zinedine Zidane's men at the Vicente Calderon in the Madrid derby.

Cristiano Ronaldo regained his long lost form back in style as the Portuguese superstar scored a hat-trick to help his side win the battle of pride 3-0.

It was the last Madrid at this stadium as Atletico would shift to a new stadium next stadium, and Ronaldo made it miserable for the home side.

Atletico Madrid were completely outplayed by the Los Blancos. Zidane's tactics of using Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo did wonders for the side.

Real Madrid remain unbeaten in the league and are at the top of the table with 30 points four more than arch-rivals FC Barcelona.

Barcelona once again disappointed their fans as they failed to register a win against Malaga. Luis Enrique fielded the team without stars like Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.

Messi's absence hurt the Catalan giants real bad as they managed a 0-0 draw against the minnows. Their point gap with rivals and league leaders Real Madrid widened further to 4 points.
