La Liga 2016-17: Schedule for game week 23

Bengaluru, Feb 16: La Liga game week 23 kicks off on Saturday, February 18, with relegation-threatened, 19th placed Granada taking on 13th placed Real Betis.

On the same day, league leaders Real Madrid will take on Espanyol. Zinedine Zidane's side will be back on a thumping 3-1 over Napoli in the UEFA Champions League during the midweek.

Real Madrid currently have 49 points, 1 more than rivals FC Barcelona but have played two matches less. A win against Espanyol would take them closer to the La Liga title.

FC Barcelona face minnows Leganes. The Catalan giants, who were humiliated during the midweek by Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League, will be eyeing full three points so that they remain closer to their rivals.

In the other two important matches, Atletico Madrid face Sporting Gijon and Sevilla take on Eibar.
