The short height lanky attacking midfielder of East Bengal was the man behind Atletico De Kolkata's inaugural League title, scoring the winner with a superb header.

But unfortunately, the midfielder from Bengal received ignominious behaviour immediately after the ATK defeated Kerala Blasters in the final, held in Mumbai.

The team management did not bring Rafique ion the same flight where his teammates and the trophy were.

Even, Rafique was surprisingly not invited to the celebration function of ATK, held in Kolkata within a couple of weeks after they became champion.

More importantly, ATK management omitted Rafique's name while constructing the team in the very year.

But in the last year, the same management of ATK had to call up Rafique after Helder Postiga got an early injury.

The 28-year old midfielder does not seem to have forgotten all this humiliation. And again before the duel between Kerala Blasters and Atletico de Kolkata in the final of ISL 3, Rafique said: “I want to score the winner today also. But this time I want to do against ATK. That will be the perfect reply."

Rafique still does not know the reasons behind his former team management's negligence. He explained: “I still do not know why I had to receive such a shocking behaviour even after I guided the team to the victory. But it could have been humiliating for anybody."

Commenting on his team's chances, Rafique said: “One of our key men in the defense, Aron Huges will not be able to play due to injury. That is the only point of anxiety for us. Otherwise, we are ready to take sweet revenge."
