English Premier League game week 13: Roundup and results

The game week started off with Manchester City beating Burnley 2-1 after an early setback.

Bengaluru, Nov 27: English Premier League game week 13 ends a high note with Chelsea FC retaining their top position in the league table.

The game week started off with Pep Guardiola's Manchester City taking on Burnley. After an early setback in the game, City came back strongly with Sergio Aguero scoring two crucial goals in the either of the half to bag full three points.

Manchester City's triumph was followed by Liverpool facing Sunderland. The match proved to be really costly for Jurgen Klopp as star midfielder Phillipe Coutinho suffered a horrific ankle injury.

Liverpool ultimately won the game 2-0 courtesy Divock Origi and James Milner's strikes but the injury to Coutinho was a huge setback for the Reds.

The penultimate match of the night was between Chelsea FC and Tottenham Hotspur. After conceding an early goal Antonio Conte's Blues came back strong thanks to goals from Pedro and Victor Moses.

Chelsea's winning streak in the league continues as they retain their top position in the league table.

On Sunday, Arsenal took on AFC Bournemouth. The Gunners pulled off an easy win over Eddie Howe's men to remain firmly in the title race.

The last game of the week featured Manchester United who faced West Ham United. A wasteful Manchester United failed to win in their fifth consecutive home match in the league as they were held for a 1-1 draw.
