Juan Mata scored the opening for the hosts in the 65th minute. Manchester United for a change looked more dominant throughout the game and deserved to bag all three points from the clash.

The Gunners were lackluster on the field and failed to create a single positive chance during the course of the game.

The only proper chance that was created was in the 88th minute. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain generated a cross from the right-flank which was headed home by substitute striker Olivier Giroud to snatch a point from United.

In other important clashes, Yaya Toure made a strong comeback at Manchester City as he scored a brace to help Cityzens go top of the league table.

Pep Guardiola who had neglected Toure for so long from the starting XI brought back the midfielder for the Crystal Palace.

Liverpool were held to a goalless draw against Southampton.
