They however, could not hold on to the lead for long and a superb strike from Ahrun Cicek from the edge of the box that saw Assyriska restore parity in the 43rd minute.

After the change of ends, Dynamos started strongly with Kean Lewis rising to the occasion with a superb solo effort from the right making it 2-1 in the 53rd minute.

Arjun Tudu rounded off the tally with a powerful header in the 83rd minute. Mihael Jevtic pulled one back for the home team but Dynamos managed to cling onto their slender lead.

Coach Gianluca Zambrotta said:"It's been a satisfying outing for us and I am happy that the team is gelling in well and the communication on and off the field is strong. The results of this was seen in our match today where all the boys linked in well to ensure we were ahead of them throughout the game.

"I am glad we are set to begin our season back home in the Hero ISL on a high. Like I have said before, the only goal for Delhi Dynamos FC this season would be to bring home the winner's trophy."
