The Ligue 1 club issued a statement on Thursday (July 20) where they announced that they have reported to FIFA and the French league over the actions of multiple clubs.

Monaco, July 21: The star of this transfer season, Kylian Mbappe is wanted by every major European club. Clubs like Real Madrid, Manchester City and Paris Saint German have already contacted the youngster for his signature and multiple world record bids have already been tabled.

However, AS Monaco have now issued a formal warning to his potential suitors and declared that some of the 'important European football clubs' have violated the rule and tapped up the player illegally.

The Ligue 1 club issued a statement on Thursday (July 20) where they announced that they have reported to FIFA and the French league over the actions of multiple clubs.

The statement read: "AS Monaco regretfully notice that 'important' European football clubs made contacts with Kylian Mbappe [and his entourage] without its authorization."

"AS Monaco want to remind to these clubs that such actions are contrary to the article 211 of the Administrative regulation of the French Football League [Ligue de Football Professionnel] and to the article 18.3 of the Regulation of the Status and the Transfer of the Players of FIFA."

"To put an end to this unacceptable situation, AS Monaco consider asking the French Football League [Ligue de Football Professionnel] and the FIFA to commit disciplinary procedures against clubs offenders."

Many reports have suggested that Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City are among the clubs reported to FIFA.

However, both the clubs have not yet commented on this till now.

Mbappe shot to fame after he helped his team to win the league title after 27 years and their run in the Champions League guiding the club to the semi-finals last season, scoring 27 goals.

The youngster has still two years left on his contract with Monaco and the Ligue 1 side are believed to be wanting to hold him out for at least one more season.

Meantime, City also have had a €50mn (£44.5mn) bid declined for the left-back Benjamin Mendy as the Ligue 1 side are now asking a fee nearer to the £50mn plus add-ons which city paid to Tottenham Hotspur for their right-back Kyle Walker.
