Arsenal ready mammoth bid for Real Madrid sensation

Arsenal are readying a bid for Real Madrid rising star Marco Asensio as the gunners plan for life without Alexis Sanchez.

London, July 25: Arsenal are having a pretty good summer transfer window so far, having signed Alexandre Lacazette from Olympique Lyonnais for a club-record fee and defender Sead Kolasinac from Schalke on a free transfer already but they are far from done.

The Gunners experienced a poor season last time out with Arsene Wenger missing on Champions League qualification for the first time in his Arsenal career and the Frenchman is keen to make a strong comeback next season.

Arsenal remain to be linked with a host of big names across Europe and the latest name to be linked with them is Real Madrid forward Marco Asensio.

The youngster is regarded highly at Santiago Bernabeu and had a dream debut campaign for the Spanish capital club and it is highly unlikely that they will let the Spaniard move.

Liverpool had a mega-bid for the 21-year-old rejected earlier this summer while interests from Manchester United and Juventus have also been turned down by Zidane.

Arsenal's strategy looks set for more and more young rising stars from overseas. Lacazette broke the club's transfer record, but it may not be the only biggest signing that Arsenal make this summer.

Wenger has hinted that there is more to come, when questioned about more additions to his team..

In a recent interview as quoted on 'Evening Standard', he said: "We are very active on the transfer market and have already realised two incomings."

"But we are still active on the transfer market so let's see what kind of opportunities we can find."

Asensio is one of the best young players in the world right now and is getting plenty of opportunities at Real Madrid as well.

The young Spaniard has no reason for him to look for pastures as he could be the long-term successor of Cristiano Ronaldo. So, the best thing for Arsenal would be to look for more realistic targets.
