Santiago, July 5: After a football match between Argentina and Chile, an angry mob reportedly have heckled family members of star footballer Lionel Messi.
The incident took place on Saturday, July 4 when Argentina suffered an agonizing penalty shoot-out defeat to Chile in the Copa America final.
Messi's family members including his brother Rodrigo were targeted by a section of Chilean fans.
According to sources, one of the men hit Rodrigo following a heated argument between the two groups. Later, Messi's family members were forced to take shelter in television cabin at the Estadio Nacional Stadium.
It was the second time in 12 months Messi had finished on the losing side in a major final following Argentina's extra-time loss to Germany at the World Cup last year.
