Mario Goetze gave a lead to the three-time champions after the two sides went to break tied at 0-0. But Andre Ayew, who scored Ghana's equalizer against the United States the other night, drew level three minutes later.
Ghana took a shock lead in the 63rd minute when Asamoah Gyan blasted home a clean pass from Sulley Muntary. But the never-say-die Germans fought back when Miroslav Klose, who took the field as a substitute, made it 2-2 by converting a corner kick that came off Benedict Howedes's flick. The equalizer also put Klose at par with former Brazilian forward Ronaldo as the highest scorer in the World Cup.
Ghana scored twice inside 10 minutes to scare the Germans till Klose drew level
The absorbing draw now means that Germany have four points from two matches and Ghana one from two matches. The US are placed second at the moment with three points while the Portugal are at the bottom of the table, after the 0-4 thrashing they got from Germany.
