CWG 1934 to 2010: India's journey from 1 medal to 101

From just 1 bronze medal in 1934, India rose to be a powerhouse at Commonwealth Games. India climbed up from a mere 1 medal to reach 101 in last editon at New Delhi. It has been their best so far in the history of CWG. Now, they have set sights on a big haul at this year's CWG in Glasgow beginning today. CWG 2014 runs from July 23 to August 3.

Note: India did not participate in 1930, 1950, 1962 and 1986 (Like many countries, India too boycotted 1986 Games in Edinburgh as hosts Britain failed to impose economic sanctions against South Africa for Apartheid. 1986 edition went on to be labelled as "the Boycott Games")
