World T20: 'Virat Kohli sir' makes Bengaluru fans happy, signs autographs, clicks selfies

Bengaluru, March 22: Virat Kohli is sweating it out, taking catches on the outfield of M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Tuesday (March 22). Around 50 fans at the boundary, scream at the top of their voices to grab his attention. But Kohli carries on with his job.

Much later, Kohli takes a break. He signals towards the dressing room asking for water. A member of the support staff gets down from the stairs to hand him 3 bottles of liquid. Kohli quenches his thirst. (WT20 schedule)

Kohli's supporters continue to call out the star batsman's name. Much to their relief and joy, the right-hander waves at them. They ask him for his autograph and pictures but Kohli returns to practice. (Kohli bows to Tendulkar)

About half hour later, as promised by Kohli, he is back to oblige his fans. They are all thrilled. They jostle around to catch the glimpse of their hero and take his signature and selfies.

Kohli says, "don't push, I am coming". Fans calm down. The Indian Test captain, as composed during his batting in a pressure match, signs for each and every fan. Young and the old had gathered at the boundaryline and media photographers were busy clicking the moments. (Ind-Bangla match preview)

But all the fans are not happy with only his autographs. They ask for selfies. They call out again, this time, "Kohli sir", they say.

Some of the young girls say "we love you Kohli". He makes them all happy by taking some of their phones and he himself clicking selfies.

One of the girls is ecstatic. She is seen jumping in joy. She immediately rings up a friend to break the news that she has secured the prized autograph and selfie.

After Kohli had made his exit into the dressing room, other Indian players, slowly, too made their way back after training.

But the most popular among the lot on Tuesday afternoon was Kohli. After all he is the homeboy, the skipper of Indian Premier League (IPL) team Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). It was all Kohli show.

India will face Bangladesh tomorrow (March 23) at the same venue in ICC World Twenty20. Yet again, Indian supporters will be cheering for Kohli, the best batsman in the team at the moment.
