Perth, Feb 26: Indian fans waited for long to catch a glimpse of their heroes and take pictures. But they were left disappointed as MS Dhoni and his men ignored them after practice here.
At Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) last Sunday (February 22), Team India enjoyed massive support from the fans. It was a sea of blue at the ground and it felt like Mumbai than Melbourne.
India did not disappoint their fans at MCG as they registered a comprehensive 130-run victory over South Africa. Now, they have arrived in Perth and are gearing up to face United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Saturday (February 28).
Even Dhoni had acknowledged crowd support in Melbourne. He felt it was playing at home. Over 85,000 were at the venue, most of them in blue.
As the Indian players trained yesterday (February 25) in Perth, few fans came on to cheer them. They waited in hope of taking pictures with their heroes. But the cricketers ignored them and the suppporters were upset by this attitude.
According to a report on "Times Now" TV, Indian fans were unhappy that players did not oblige to their requests.
"We are 10 to 15 people waiting for the players to pose for photos with us. It would have taken just few minutes but they left, turning down our requests," one of the fans told the TV channel.
Another fan too was disappointed that he waited so long and could not meet the cricketers. He mentioned about how Team India had recieved massive support in Melbourne.
With two more days before the match on the weekend, these fans will try their luck again and hope to get those prized pictures.
