Adelaide, March 9: Cricketer Kevin Pietersen couldn't hold back his frustration after England were eliminated from the World Cup 2015 at the group stage on Monday when they lost to Bangladesh by 15 runs at the Adelaide Oval.
World Cup Special; England have gone downhill since 1992; ; Fans' reaction to Eng's loss
In social media posts, Pietersen said England had taken preparations on one-day cricket for the World Cup and even played back-to-back Ashes to ensure the team had played one-day matches for six months ahead of the big event.
He said he could not believe England's loss to Bangladesh but congratulated the Asian side for their victory. The result ensured England's exit from th tournament, along with Afghanistan and Scotland, while hosts New Zealand and Australia and Bangladesh and Sri Lanka qualified for the quarter-finals.
DO NOT SAY WE HAVENT PRIORITISED ODI CRICKET! We played a back to back Ashes to make sure England played 6 months of ODI's before this WC! 😡

England have never won the World Cup but finished as the runners-up thrice. They were the runners-up the last time the World Cup was played in Australia and New Zealand in 1992.
