Dubai, Dec 1: India will face Australia and Afghanistan in warm-up matches before they launch their ICC World Cup 2015 campaign in Adelaide on February 15, 2015.
India, the defending champions, will play Australia on February 8 and Afghanistan on February 10 (both at Adelaide Oval). In the World Cup, India play their opening match, also in Adelaide, against Pakistan on February 15.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) today announced the complete schedule of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, including match start times and warm-up matches.
A total of 14 non-ODI warm-up matches will be played across Adelaide, Christchurch, Melbourne and Sydney from 8 to 13 February.
These warm-up matches are not official ODIs and operate under slightly different rules with up to 15 players able to be used throughout the game with no more than 11 players may field at any one time.
World Cup starts on February 14 with a day match between New Zealand and Sri Lanka. Later, on the same day, Australia will face England at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in day/nighter. The final is in Melbourne on March 29.
