Yuvraj sent a reminder to the new selectors with a superb knock of 177 in Ranji Trophy at Lahli on October 14.

Will Yuvraj Singh get a place in India squad for last two ODI's against New Zealand?

If Mishra has been India's spin mainstay in R Ashwin's absence, experienced Raina, on the other hand, has been unlucky for he hasn't played a single match due to illness.

With India playing the third ODI at Mohali, selectors will now select the team for the remaining two games. Thus, it will be interesting to see if Yuvraj gets a call into the India squad.

After being ignored for national duty against New Zealand ODI series, Yuvraj sent a reminder to the new selectors with a superb knock of 177 in Ranji Trophy at Lahli on October 14.

The 34-year-old Yuvraj scored 177 from 295 balls with 24 boundaries for Punjab against Madhya Pradesh at the Chaudhry Bansi Lal Cricket Stadium in Lahli today (October 14).

The fourth ODI will be played in Ranchi while fifth and final one would be held at Vizag.

2011 World Cup hero Yuvraj has played 40 Tests, 293 ODIs and 55 T20Is for India. His last international match was in March this year, against Australia in World T20, in Mohali.

However, it will be interesting to see if the Punjab skipper gets a spot in the Indian team. But there are several other players are making the right noises in the domestic as well as first class matches and they too might get an India call for the remaining two ODIs.

Here are a few players who might be picked up:

The promising young batsman from Karnataka has been impressive in the domestic circuit, he too was a part of India's limited-overs' squad in Zimbabwe but had a forgettable tour. He was also picked as a replacement for injured Shikhar Dhawan for 3rd Test against New Zealand but couldn't earn an India cap.

Nair had good 2015-16 Ranji Trophy season with the bat. He scored 500 runs in 7 matches at an average of 50. His performance in the Indian Premier League 2016 was impressive too. He aggregated 357 runs in 12 IPL matches.

The Haryana leg-spinner made his debut during the Zimbabwe tour, along with KL Rahul and other youngsters and will hope to find a place in the team for the remaining two ODIs.

He had a decent tour of Australia with India A. He bagged 7 wickets in 4 matches he played.

The promising young spinner from Kanpur has impressed the experts with his performances in the domestic as well as in the IPL. Several felt the young chinaman bowler was unlucky for not getting a place in India's Test squad against New Zealand. But the UP spinner would now be hoping to get a place in the Indian ODI team.

Ambati Rayudu

The right-hander was also a part of the Zimbabwe tour in June this year and would once again be hoping to get a place in the squad for the last two ODIs.

The 31-year-old averages an impressive 50.23 in 34 ODIs he has played so far, but has never got too much of opportunities to prove his batting potential. He would be hoping another India call up.
