Sachin Tendulkar leads the list with 6 hundreds (all-time record) to his name, followed by Sourav Ganguly with 4.
Kapil, the first centurion, blazed his way to a famous 175 not out against Zimbabwe at Tunbridge Wells in 1983. The captain went on to guide the team to the title at Lord's.
India's batsmen failed to score a century in the opening two editions of the World Cup, in 1975 and 1979.
The most productive editions for Indian batsmen, in terms of three-figures marks, were 1999 (England) and 2011 (India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh). In these both tournaments, India had 5 tons each.
