Hyderabad, Feb 11: Batting legend Sachin Tendulkar today (February 11) heaped praise on Indian captain Virat Kohli after the latter's record double century against Bangladesh in the ongoing one-off Test here. Tendulkar made an interesting observation about Kohli's bat.
Kohli breaks Bradman record
Yesterday (February 10), on the second day of the Test, Kohli struck a magnificent 204 to guide India to a mammoth 687/6 declared against the neighbours.
The 28-year-old Kohli became the first batsman in Test history to register 4 double hundreds in 4 successive series. Kohli broke the record held by Sir Don Bradman and Rahul Dravid, who both had 3 double tons in consecutive series.
The sequence began on the Caribbean Islands when Kohli hit his maiden double century (200) against West Indies in July 2016.
After the big score against West Indies, Kohli returned home to excel with the bat in the series versus New Zealand and England. He made 211 against the Kiwis while his career-best knock of 235 came against England at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium.
Tendulkar took to the micro-blogging website Twitter to make an interestinig observation on Kohli's bat and commended the skipper's efforts.
"The sweet spot on your bat speaks about the awesome form you are in, don't need scoreboards.May god always keep your bat like that @imVkohli," wrote Tendulkar with a picture of Kohli raising his bat.
