Fort Lauderdale (USA), Aug 27: West Indies cricket team set a daunting target of 246 runs for India in the first Twenty20 match here at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground today (Aug 27).
Thanks to some powerful hittings from the West Indies openers Johnson Charles (79 off 33) and Evin Lewis (100 of 49), West Indies put up massive 245 runs in the 20 overs.
West Indies' opener Evin Lewis came very close to equalling Indian batsman Yuvraj Singh's 6 sixes in an over record during his innings. Left-handed Lewis smashed 5 sixes in a row off Indian paceman Stuart Binny but his attempt for the 6th ended with just a single.
Before Lewis, it was Charles who did most of the talking with the bat and was only dealing with fours and sixes.
West Indies hit record 20 sixes against India in their innings and scored highest ever runs against India.

West Indies hit at least a boundary in 19 of the 20 overs today. They did the same in the WT20 semi-final vs India. Both records. #IndvsWI— Bharath Seervi (@SeerviBharath) August 27, 2016
