New Delhi, Oct 28: India's Test skipper and star batsman Virat Kohli on Thursday (Oct 27) sent a heart melting message for the Indian armed forces on the auspicious occasion of Diwali. (Kohli equals Tendulkar's record)
Joining PM Narendra Modi's initiative #Sandesh2Soldiers, Kohli is the latest icon to send out Diwali greetings to the Indian soldiers, who are doing their duties at the borders and safeguarding the country's borders, in this unique way.
Kohli recorded his heart melting video message for the Indian soldiers and shared it on his Twitter handle. The video went viral over social media.
"I, Virat Kohli, want to wish on this Diwali our jawans all the best."
"I know what it means staying away from the family. The way you protect our country is worth a lot of praise."
"My brothers, keep faith that I and the entire country will always be with you," he said in the video.

Earlier, former India opener Virender Sehwag posted a video message on his Twitter handle saluting the bravery of the Indian armed forces and wishing them a prosperous Diwali.

Sandesh2Soldiers is a noble gesture started by the government to pay respect to the Indian soldiers who risk their lives everyday.
