Virender Sehwag wants to rechristen 'batting masterclass' Virat Kohli

New Delhi, Dec 16: Former India opener Virender Sehwag has adviced India's Test skipper Virat Kohli to change his name and adopt a new one.

The Nawab of Najafgarh took to Twitter to ask Kohli - the Run Machine - to rechristen himself to 'Badal' which literally means 'cloud'.

"Kohli ko paper me name change Ad daalna chahiye. He should call himself Badal, aka Cloud. Har waqt Badal ki tarah Chaaye rehte hain, Kohli!," tweeted Sehwag.

Sehwag's tweet roughly meant 'Kohli should give an ad in the newspaper about changing his name. He should change his name to 'Badal' aka 'cloud'. Just like clouds, he keeps hovering in the sky.'

Sehwag has been lauding Kohli for his fantastic batting performances and comes up with new superlatives for the captain charismatic.

Virat Kohli has been in tremendous form in the year 2016. The 28-year-old Delhi-lad has aggregated runs in every format of the game in 2016. He has become first player to average 50+ in Tests, ODIs as well as in T20Is.

Kohli has slammed three double tons in the year so far and has scored 640 runs in the four Test matches against England and could very well become the higest scorer for India in a Test series if he scores 135 more runs in fifth and final Test match against England.

A record which has stood for 45 years could be broken if Virat achieves these 135 runs at MA Chidambaram Stadium.

In 1971, on his debut Test series, Sunil Gavaskar amassed 774 runs (4 matches, 8 innings) against West Indies on the Caribbean islands. It is still the highest aggregate by an Indian batsman in a series.

Now, captain Virat Kohli is on the verge of eclipsing that mark.
