New Delhi, July 24: Former India cricketer Virender Sehwag gave an epic respone to silence eminent British journalist Piers Morgan's dig at him on Twitter.
World Cup Special Site; India salutes Women In Blue
Morgan took to Twitter to mock the former India opener following Indian women cricket team's defeat in the ICC World Cup final against England at Lord's.
"You OK, buddy @virendersehwag?," he wrote on Twitter, trying to troll the former India opener.
You OK, buddy @virendersehwag? #WWC2017final 😂😂😂

Giving a fitting reply to Morgan's sarcasm, Sehwag wrote, "Me and all of India prouder even in this loss than you can ever be mate. We fought well & will only get better & stronger. Enjoy for a change!"

Hailing the incredible effort of the Women In Blue, who ended up on the losing side in the nail-biting final, Sehwag thanked them and said women's cricket in India has truly arrived.
"Super proud of the girls. Tough luck today but women's cricket in India has truly arrived. Thank you girls. Salute your spirit," Sehwag tweeted after India fell marginally short in the run chase.

The Nawab of Najafgarh was involved in similar Twitter banters with Morgan in the past as well and silenced the latter on every occasion.
The banter between the two became very popular during Rio Olympics 2016 in which India managed to win just two medals. PV Sindhu, silver, and Sakshi Malik, bronze, were the only athletes who clinched a medal despite India sending it's biggest ever contingent.
Morgan mocked India, a country of over a billion people, but won just two medals in the global sporting extravaganza to which Sehwag trolled him and his country's national cricket team that couldn't win even a single World Cup despite being the inventors of the game.
Earlier on Sunday (July 23), Indian eves ended up as the runner ups for the second time in a World Cup final, as they lost the game by 9 runs.
Electing to bat first, England produced a competitive total of 228 for seven in their 50 overs against Mithali Raj and her girls.
India rode on half-centuries from opener Punam Raut and Harmanpreet Kaur to almost overhauling the target. But a middle-order batting collapse resulted India were restricted to 219.
Punam scored 86 runs off 115 balls while Harmanpreet scored 51 off 80. Together thet added 95 runs in 128 balls and helped to steady the Indian innings following the loss of two early wickets.
