After world cricket hailed his impeccable consistency with the bat in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season, now great Chaminda Vaas has heaped praised upon the right-handed batsman for his superlative batting show in the cash-rich league.

Virat Kohli aggregated 865 runs in 13 innings in IPL 2016

Vaas, former Sri Lankan bowler, was quoted by Mid-Day as saying, "If I were to bowl to Virat in this form, I am sure he would have hit me for six sixes in an over. He is in a different class. He is commanding the game and dominating the bowlers. Virat wants to be like Sachin (Tendulkar) and one day even get better than him."
