North Sound (Antigua), July 22: Team India skipper Virat Kohli slammed his Test career's 12th century and first against West Indies in the first Test match here at Antigua on Friday (July 22).
It was also Kohli's fifth Test century as India's skipper and second-fastest ton of his career. Kohli's century came in just 134 deliveries comprising 11 fours.
Virat Kohli completes 3,000 Test runs
Earlier, India's 'run machine', Kohli, touched yet another milestone by completing 3000 Test runs and became the 19th Indian batsman to do so.
The India skipper first took 3 runs and later played a fine cover drive for four to name another record for him. However, it took Kohli 43 matches and 73 innings to enter this elite club.
Kohli made his Test debut against West Indies during India's Caribbean tour in 2011. Back then, a young Kohli had a forgettable tour as he averaged 15.20 in the five innings he played.
But, the prolific Indian batter has cleared his intentions with this century against an inexperienced Windies bowling line-up.
