Indore, Oct 8: Skipper Virat Kohli played a captain's knock to help India reach 267/3 at stumps on the opening day of the third and final Test against New Zealand at the Holkar stadium here on Saturday (Oct 8).

The 27-year-old India batsman got his 13th Test centurt off 184 deliveries and added 167 runs for the fourth wicket with Rahane as the right-handed duo pushed the Kiwis to the backfoot with some exciting strokeplay in the final session.
This is also the right-handed-batter's highest run in eight innings following his 200 against West Indies in the Caribbean. A century was long overdue off Kohli's bat who was unable to score big in the Test format eversince his double hundred.
