"Special day this. We are a team. We win together we lose together. Proud of you boys. Jai Hind," wrote Kohli on his Twitter account.

Earlier, while addressing media persons during post-match press conference Kohli termed the win as the 'sweetest' of his 16 wins as captain.

"For sure. Till now, this is the best one definitely. I don't want to say too much because the game panned out the way it did, and there's not much left to say. It wasa quite emotional game for us, quite draining as well. Everyone got along together, we showed team spirit," Kohli added further.

India defeated Australia by 75 runs to win the 2nd Test and level the 4-match rubber 1-1. After being pushed to the wall on day one, India came back strongly to register an emphatic win against the visitors who took a crucial 87-run lead by virtue of their first innings.

But, a gritty century-plus stand between Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane helped the hosts take 187-run lead in the second innings.

Later, bowlers led by Ravichandran Ashwin restricted the visitors to 112 runs. Team India was applauded from all quarters for their historic turnaround and incredible win.
