Kohli was first stunned and then left fuming at Australian umpire Burce Oxenford for wrongly giving him out to leg-spinner Imran Tahir. However, much to the relief of Kohli and the thousands of fans at the ground, the bowler had overstepped and the skipper continued his innings, from 5.

However, before the third umpire CK Nandan had checked the replays and relayed the message back to Oxenford that it was not a legal delivery, Kohli had showed his anger on the field as cool and composed Ajinkya Rahane was with him batting at the time.

The incident happened on the 1st ball of the 34th over in India's 2nd innings. Kohli was given out caught by wicketkeeper Dane Vilas off Tahir. Stunned by the verdict, Kohli refused to move from the crease. He stood there for few seconds and slowly started to go away when he was told by the umpire to wait.

Oxenford checked with the third umpire for a noball and it was confirmed. As the decision was pending, Kohli was seen uttering words under his helmet. In the end, Kohli had every reason to get upset as replays indicated that he had not edged the ball.

However, Kohli's reaction was wrong. And he could attract a fine for showing dissent to umpire's decision.
