With 4110 runs, the RCB opener also went past Suresh Raina (4098) by once again becoming the highest run getter in the history of IPL.
Earlier in the day, Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper and opener David Warner became the second batsman to have aggregated 800-plus runs in an IPL tournament.
Warner, who had a fantastic IPL season with bat, has already scored the most runs by an Australian in the tournament, after going past Michael Hussey's mark of 733 runs during IPL 2013.
