New Delhi, Nov 3: Days after rumours spread that cricketer Virat Kohli is not going to marry his actor girl friend Anushka Sharma in 2015, reports now claim that the duo is likely to tie the knot in the first month of 2016.

An alleged leaked image of the wedding card of India's Test skipper and the Bollywood actress is doing the rounds on social media which states the couple is going to marry on Jan 23, 2016. [Virat Kohli not to marry Anushka Sharma in 2015?]

Virat-Anushka's wedding date fixed?

The card posted on Facebook carries lots of errors, thus raising question over its authenticity. Also, the wedding card was posted and hastily removed from Facebook.

Virat Kohli's parents are Saroj Kohli and Prem Kohli but the card mentions Surbhi and Arun Kohli, while Anushka's parents are Ajay Kumar Sharma and Ashima Sharma but the card mentions Nilima and Major Arjun Singh.

The invitation card also mentions that the venue for the grand reception will be The Taj Hotels in Mumbai.

Apparently, the wedding card looks nothing but a prank endeavour by some enthusiastic fan/s.

However, it cannot be ruled out the Anushka is quite keen to getting hitched with beau Virat at the earliest, however Virat wants to focus on his cricket career, hence the delay.

Only a couple of days back Anushka broke her silence over rumours surrounding her wedding and asked her followers and fans to wait for her to announce the dates of her marriage.

Earlier last week, officials, who are working with Anushka, said, "There is no truth to the stories/rumours about Anushka Sharma's impending wedding."

Meanwhile, a close source of the couple was quoted as saying, "Anushka and Virat have been open about their relationship because they are sure about taking it to the marriage altar. Their families will meet soon and decide the wedding date. In all likelihood, they will get hitched early next year (2016)."

Thus, it will be interesting to see if the dates as mentioned in the 'fake' wedding invitation card actually happen to be a the real ones.
