Kolkata, Oct 4: As India thrashed New Zealand by 178 runs in Kolkata Test on Monday (Oct 3), Team India's skipper Virat Kohli made the victory even sweeter.
After winning the match at Kolkata to take an unassailable 2-0 lead against the Kiwis and becoming the No.1 Test team, Kohli gifted commemorative silver coins of the 250th Test match to Sehwag and Zaheer.
The silver coins were gifted to Kohli by the BCCI and Cricket Association of Bengal on the occasion of leading Indian cricket team into 250th Test match at home.
The video shared by broadcaster showed Kohli interacting with Sehwag and Zaheer, who were commentators in the Test match, and gifting the two silver coins.
"I have memento from the Indian cricket team for the two legends of Indian cricket, they deserve it equally," said Kohli while sharing some light moments with the cricketers-turned-commentators.
Kohli even addressed Sehwag as 'Bhaiya' (elder brother), as the Delhi lad has played alongside the "Nawab of Najafgarh". Kohli's show of respect for Sehwag impressed the cricket presenter.
Acknowledging Kohli's gesture, both Sehwag and Zaheer thanked him and the Indian cricket team.
Both Sehwag and Zaheer were important players of the Indian Test side and won the team several matches. They were a part of the team when India became No. 1 Test side for the first time in 2009.
