Bengaluru, July 21: Legends Sachin Tendulkar and Shane Warne are "very excited" as they have come closer to finalising the plans for unveiling their All Star Twenty20 cricket league starting in the United States.
Yesterday (July 20), Warne said he had "final planning meeting" with "great friend" Tendulkar and told America "here we come".
Both Tendulkar and Warne will hold T20 exhibition matches in the US at famous baseball venues including the Yankee Stadium in New York. The games might also be held in other countries too.
On Monday, Warne wrote on his twitter page, ".@sachin_rt & I are very excited about this, hope everyone else is too..." with an Instagram picture of him and Tendulkar with the caption, "Caught up with this legend & great friend @SACHINTENDULKAR for our final planning meeting, watch out America, here we come !"
"At this stage we've booked three stadiums, (Chicago's) Wrigley Field, (New York's) Yankee Stadium and (Los Angeles') Dodger Stadium," Warne had said last month.
"We're going to have Bollywood theme nights and it's all shaping up pretty well. We're looking at ourselves as a Formula One team.
"Myself and Sachin had an idea - why not take cricket to America and be the Harlem Globetrotters, go around and do free exhibitions at schools," he added.
Warne had said they have already signed up 28 players which include Rahul Dravid, Glenn McGrath, Jacques Kallis, Adam Gilchrist, Sourav Ganguly, Brian Lara, VVS Laxman and Wasim Akram.
