Twitter reacts after CSK captain MS Dhoni gets angry with Ravindra Jadeja

Chennai, May 11: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni has always shown a cool demeanour on a cricket field. But last night at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, it was different. ('4 CSK players involved in fixing')

"Captain Cool" was angry on Sunday night when their IPL 2015 match against Rajasthan Royals (RR) headed for a tense finish in front of their home fans. (After 47 matches, still no team in playoffs)

Dhoni and his teammates celebrate the wicket of RR batsman Shane Watson

With 27 runs needed of the final over from Dwayne Bravo, RR's Chris Morris smashed the first ball, a waist-high full toss for a six. This was also a no-ball and 7 runs came off 1 delivery.

The next ball was hit by the South African batsman to deep mid-wicket where Ravindra Jadeja was fielding. By the time the left-hander fielded and returned the ball to wicketkeeper Dhoni, Morris and Ankit Sharma had run two.

This effort of Jadeja, to give away two runs instead of 1, made Dhoni angry. Though he did not utter a word at the fielder, his stare at Jadeja said it all.

Former India batsman Arun Lal, who was commentating at the time, said, "If looks could kill, Jadeja was buried."

Not only this Jadeja's fielding but there were few dropped catches and misfields from CSK players. CSK's best fielders - Brendon McCullum, Faf du Plessis, Dwayne Bravo and Dwayne Smith were all guilty of sloppy efforts on the field.

But at the end of the day, Dhoni was calm as CSK won by 12 runs, successfully defending 157 to top the table again and enter the playoffs. Barring that blemish, Jadeja was outstanding, taking 4 wickets. He won the Man-of-the-match award.
