New Delhi, Dec 20: As selectors announced the Indian squad for the upcoming ODI and T20 series against Australia, everyone was surprised to hear induction of Punjab's young left-arm seamer Brainder Sran into ODI side.
The 23-year-old pacer, who played for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL, was rewarded with a berth in the ODI for his consistent performance in domestic circuit.

Born: December 10, 1992, Sirsa, Haryana.
Ranji debut: He made his Ranji debut in November 2011 and played his first List A match four months later.
Vijay Hazare Trophy: He took 13 wickets in 6 matches in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy
18 wickets in 7 Ranji Trophy games this season.
He was the 2nd highest wicket-taker for Punjab at Ranji this season.
32 wickets in 11 first-class matches and 15 wickets in seven List A matches.
IPL: Earlier this year, he was snapped by Rajasthan Royals at a base price of Rs 10 lakh at the IPL auctions and featured in 1 game for the now suspended outfit.
He appeared for a talent hunt in 2010 for IPL team Kings XI Punjab but could not make it to the KXIP.
