India have a 4-0 advantage over Pak in T20 World Cup

India, in fact, have never lost a World Cup game against Pakistan, be it in the T20 or 50-over format.

The first time India and Pakistan played in a T20 World Cup was in the inaugural edition in South Africa. The two sides met twice in the tournament with India emerging as the better side on both occasions.

The first encounter was a group match at Durban which India won in a perfect bowl-out after the game ended in a ties in the allotted overs. While India hit the stumps on all three occasions in the bowl-out, Pakistan couldn't find the timber even once.

The second meeting came in the all-important finals in Johannesburg and this time, India pulled off a thrilling win by just five runs to be crowned the first T20 World Cup champions.

The third meeting between India and Pakistan happened in the Super Eight stage of the 2012 edition played in Sri Lanka. This time, India thrashed the opponents by 8 wickets with Virat Kohli scoring an unbeaten 78. However, despite the win and having same number of points with Australia and Pakistan, India could not make it to the semifinals due to an inferior run rate.

India's fourth straight win over Pakistan in a T20 World Cup came in the next edition played in Sri Lanka in 2014. India overhauled the target of 131 set by Pakistan with 7 wickets in hand. Kohli steered his team to victory in this Super Ten match as well. [Brief scores: Pak 130/7; India 131/3]

India also have a 6-0 record vs Pak in 50-over World Cup

In each of these victories, India was led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who also captained the sides that beat Pakistan in the 50-over World Cup in Mohali in 2011 and Adelaide in 2015.

India have beaten Pakistan in all 50-over World Cup matches played in 1992, 1996, 1999, 2003, 2011 and 2015. The first three of those matches were led by Mohammad Azharuddin while Sourav Ganguly led the 2003 side.
