Kolkata, March 19: Pakistan Cricket Board chief Shahryar Khan on Saturday (March 19) told Bengali news channel ABP Ananda that the Eden Gardens is a lucky ground for the Pakistan cricket team as they have never lost here and the guests were overwhelmed by the love and affection they received in these parts.
Speaking in an exclusive interview, Khan said politics and cricket should not be mixed up. He told this when asked about the recent problem over hosting the India-Pakistan match in India. The match was initially scheduled in Dharamshala but was later shifted to Kolkata owing to security reasons.
On the possibility of resumption of bilateral cricket series between India and Pakistan, Khan said they have no problem but the country's government has not given the permission to go ahead with it. [India-Pak eves also take each other at New Delhi]
