Suresh Raina wants to do a Yuvraj Singh at World Cup 2015

Left-handed Raina, one of the mainstays of Indian batting, started on a high in the opening win of World Cup 2015 against Pakistan. He blazed his way to a at number 4. Now, he wants to continue in same fashion and finish games for India, just like Yuvraj. (Dhoni behind Yuvraj's ouster?)

Raina wants to play like Yuvraj at World Cup

"I will look to be dominant when required and at the same time play sensible cricket by rotating the strike and complement the partner at the other end," Raina told BCCI's website after the 76-run victory over Pakistan at Adelaide Oval on Sunday (Februray 15).

"I love to play straight and have an array of scoring options. There will be phases when you are not scoring against particular bowlers and you need to play sensible at that time," he added referring to his knock against Pakistan.

The Uttar Pradesh batsman said he has learnt from captain MS Dhoni and Yuvraj on how to bat lower down the order. "You also need to follow your instincts which I have learnt from Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni. I have always batted lower down the order and in the previous World Cup (2011) when I didn't play the bulk of the matches, I observed Yuvi and saw how he used to finish games for the side. I want to play Yuvraj Singh's role in this World Cup. I want to field, bowl and bat well," Raina said.

India's next challenge is against South Africa on Sunday (February 22) in Melbourne.
