New Delhi, March 24: The Supreme Court on Friday (March 24) directed the Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI) Committee of Administrators (COA) to release Rs 2.5 crore to the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA).
4th Test preview; Kohli in doubt
The directive comes in the wake of the 4th and final Test between India and Australia to be played in Dharamshala from tomorrow (March 25).
The SC also ordered the BCCI to honour all contractual committments made to the state associations under distinct contractors in the Indo-Australia Test match series.
The Supreme Court also clarified that an officer bearer of the BCCI for nine years can still become part of the state cricket association.
Further the SC said that if a person has been an office bearer in the state association for nine years he cannot be barred from becoming an office bearer of the BCCI.
The 4-Test rubber between India and Australia is currently tied at 1-1. The series decider will begin tomorrow (March 25) at HPCA Stadium. India captain Virat Kohli is doubtful for this crucial match due to shoulder injury.
