New Delhi, April 27: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli was back in his hometown and there was enough time in the midst of Indian Premier League 2015 (IPL 8) to relax, fasten seatbelts and drive around with a team-mate of his, on Sunday afternoon (April 26).
RCB were in Delhi yesterday to play against Delhi Daredevils in Match 26 of IPL 8. The Bangalore side produced a top-class performance as they demolished DD by 10 wickets.
It was a memorable success for homeboy Kohli, who hit the winning runs at the Ferozeshah Kotla. He did receive huge cheers when he walked into the bat. He and Chris Gayle took the team home in the small chase of 96 runs, in just 10.3 overs.
Before the game, Kohli took time off from training, to drive his "new toy" (car) - Lamborghini Gallardo. The India ODI vice-captain did not go solo on Delhi roads. He took Australian paceman and RCB team-mate Sean Abbott along on Sunday afternoon.
Aboott tweeted a selfie with Kohli in the car. He wrote, "@imVkohli showing off his new toy before tonight's game against #DelhiDaredevils . #Lamborghini #Gallardo." The Australian was seated next to Kohli on the front seat and the Indian was flashing the "V" sign.
After a massive win last night in Delhi, RCB return home to host Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Wednesday (April 29).
