South Africa to tour India this year; venues announced

Kolkata, May 24: South Africa will tour India later this year to play 4 Tests, 5 ODIs and 3 T20Is, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced today.

"South Africa will play 4 Test matches, 5 One-Day Internationals and 3 T20 Internationals in the months of October and November 2015," BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur said in a media release on Sunday.

The venues for the series were announced by the BCCI's Tour Programme and Fixtures Committee which met today in Kolkata.

Ahmedabad, Delhi, Nagpur and Bengaluru will host 4 Tests while Chennai, Kanpur, Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (venue to be announced), Rajkot and Mumbai will be the ODI hosts.

Kolkata, Mohali and Dharamsala will be the venues for 3 T20Is.

Also, Sri Lanka will arrive in India in February 2016 to play 3 T20Is. Visakhapatnam, Pune and Delhi are the venues. This series will be played ahead of the World Twenty20 tournament which will be hosted by India. World T20 will be held from March 11 to April 3.

The exact dates are yet to be announced.

4 Tests - Venues: Ahmedabad, Delhi, Nagpur and Bengaluru

5 ODIs - Chennai, Kanpur, MPCA, Rajkot & Mumbai

3 T20Is - Kolkata, Mohali, Dharamsala

India Vs Sri Lanka in February 2016

3 T20Is - Visakhapatnam, Pune, Delhi
